WHO ARE YOU IN CHRIST - INTRODUCTION

Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification that it may impart grace to the hearer. – Ephesians 4:10 (NKJ)

“What are you, stupid?!” How many times have you heard that in your lifetime? Competent or confident aren’t the warm, fuzzy feelings coming to mind, that’s for sure. It’s more than an attack on your character. It’s a personal insult to God as your Creator. When He tells us we were “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139), those aren’t glib platitudes tossed around like a filthy rag. Our self worth is at the core of His heart. Yet sadly, too many of us have heard such phrases over the course of our lifetimes. They lark about in our heads like a well-worn recording – difficult to listen and even harder to erase. So how do we exchange the old tapes for a better recording? I hope to share my thoughts and testimony over the next few weeks on how you can embrace the truth about who you are in Christ and how He sees you. Join me on the journey, won’t you?

Next Week…Part 1: Why Did They Say That?
