Describe a sunset to a physically-blind person. This spherical wonder may sleep below the horizon, but give detail to the beauty of its descent. Its palate may be breathtaking, but what hues and tints take your breath away? You’ve experienced its magnificence, but what of those encounters can you share without becoming emotional? And as the person becomes captivated by the verbal sketch, do their eyes reflect a desire to partake in the beauty?
Now describe the Son of God to a spiritually-blind person? Do you become increasingly humbled by His radiance? Are you enamored when you think of His goodness? Are the depth of your words enough to convey His beauty, His holiness and His majesty? And if words appear inadequate, are your actions sufficient orators? Are people captivated by the experience Christ brings to your life or are they put off by your mismatched life experience? Simply, do they see by your words and actions what you believe?
We’re called to captivate the beauty of God by our life through our words and actions. It wasn’t happenstance that multitudes gravitated to what was beautiful, genuine, lovely, truthful and sincere about Christ. They saw what He did. They heard what He said. They wanted what He had to offer – a life of heavenly purpose lived here on earth. He words and actions reflected what was missing in their own.
“I tell you the truth,” Jesus said to His disciples, “anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these” (John 14:12). Not only do we get to reflect the beauty of God through our words and actions, but we receive a stamp of endorsement from the One who’s been captivating the hearts of men and women everywhere. We get to share with His people just how incredibly awesome He is!
Now describe the Son of God to a spiritually-blind person. In your description sketched from words and actions, you might just find them captivated by a pretty amazing Creator. He cared enough to give purpose to a fiery sphere after twilight. And He definitely cares enough to bring purpose to those who live a life blinded without Him.

Just BEAUTIFIL, Doris!
Oh, how He captivates me my friend! I love this post. Just amazing.
You have blessed me today!

Jesus is kind of like the Grand Canyon. A photo doesn't do it justice. Film can't show it's grandeur, one must go there, and spend time there to fully understand the nature, beauty and immensity of it's greatness. Nice Blog girlfriend. Keep it up.
